Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled P&C Underwriter to enhance our commercial department. This role is essential in managing both new and renewal business efficiently and accurately, contributing to our revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently process new and renewal P&C business to foster revenue growth and ensure retention and profitability.
  • Evaluate new business applications for acceptability, requesting additional information as needed, and make informed decisions on risk acceptance in line with company policies.
  • Review renewal business by analyzing the insured's history, agency performance, loss frequency, and previous carrier loss data.
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships with agents to enhance business outcomes.
  • Achieve set objectives while providing timely and effective customer service.
  • Collaborate closely with the Marketing Team to maintain positive working relationships.
  • Assist in the training and development of team members as required.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the insurance sector, with home office, retail, or wholesale experience considered.
  • Ability to secure a Texas P&C license within the first 90 days of employment.
  • Strong telephone communication skills.
  • Capacity to uphold a high level of confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree is preferred, with the option to substitute with 10 years of successful industry experience.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English is advantageous.
