Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Infectious Disease Physician to join our team at Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Medical Center in Temple, Texas. As a key member of our Section of Pediatric Infectious Diseases, you will have the opportunity to work with a talented group of professionals who share your passion for delivering high-quality patient care and teaching the next generation of physicians.
About the RoleThis full-time/part-time position offers a unique blend of clinical and teaching responsibilities, providing an ideal opportunity for those who enjoy a mix of hands-on patient care and academic pursuits. As a Pediatric Infectious Disease Physician, you will be responsible for:
- Providing direct consultation and follow-up care to patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings, including telemedicine clinics and consultations.
- Teaching residents, fellows, and medical students as part of our pediatric residency program and fellowships in Neonatology and Pediatric Hospital Medicine.
- Contributing to the development of educational programs, including core lectures, journal clubs, critical thinking rounds, and grand rounds.
- Potentially participating in part-time clinical research and service on departmental/system committees.
The Pediatric Infectious Disease subspecialist will spend most of their time at our 112-bed, free-standing Baylor Scott & White McLane Children's Medical Center, which features a 24-hour Children's ED and trauma center. The level IV NICU is located just a few minutes away on the main BSWMC campus. This facility provides a state-of-the-art environment for delivering exceptional patient care and advancing medical knowledge.
RequirementsTo be considered for this opportunity, candidates must possess:
- A Doctorate Degree in Medicine from an accredited institution.
- Licensure to practice medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board.
- Board certification in Pediatrics or a related specialty, or demonstration of eligibility for board certification within a specified timeframe.
We offer a competitive salary range of $300,000 - $350,000 per year, commensurate with experience, along with a comprehensive benefits package, including immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits and time off, 401(k) savings plan with employer match, 457(f) savings plan with employer contribution, CME reimbursement, paid time off, and excellent relocation assistance packages.
