Job Summary

Precision Castparts Corp is seeking an EHS Specialist 1 to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations and programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Compliance and Risk Management
    • Support management in ensuring compliance with all EHS program initiatives and expectations.
    • Facilitate applicable EHS programs and document compliance activities.
    • Act as the main point of contact for local audits to ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
  • Inspections and Investigations
    • Conduct standard and routine compliance inspections for applicable onsite programs.
    • Respond to and facilitate incident investigations, including injuries and near-miss events.
  • Reporting and Record-Keeping
    • Prepare compliance EHS reports and ensure permit conditions are followed.
    • Maintain records per internal record-retention policies and ensure compliance with all EHS-related federal, state, and local record-retention requirements.
  • Training and Communication
    • Provide accurate metrics per required deadlines to report to site leaders and corporate-based reporting systems.
    • Present EHS data to all employees at all levels of the organization.
    • Train and assist others to complete safety & compliance responsibilities.
  • Leadership and Collaboration
    • Lead the Safety Committee and meet monthly.
    • Collaborate with the onsite ergonomist to promote ergonomics and propose ergonomic changes in each department.
Requirements
  • Knowledge and Experience
    • Knowledge of environmental regulations specifically.
    • Must be able to be entrusted with confidential information.
    • The ability to work independently as well as in a group environment.
  • Skills and Qualifications
    • Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and customer service with demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to work well with others in order to manage projects, meetings, etc.
    • Exceptional organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
