Position Overview

Zepf Center, a prominent provider of behavioral health and substance use disorder services in Northwest Ohio, is dedicated to enhancing the well-being of the Lucas County community. With nearly 50 years of experience, we offer a comprehensive range of services including psychiatric care, substance abuse treatment, case management, residential support, crisis intervention, and therapeutic programs, along with career development and wellness initiatives.

We are currently looking for a CSU Mental Health Professional to assist individuals in crisis, aiming to facilitate their swift reintegration into the community.

Key Responsibilities

The essential duties of this role encompass, but are not limited to:

  • Conducting in-person triage and intake assessments with clients and referral sources.
  • Providing crisis stabilization services, education, counseling, and community resource referrals to youth and their families.
  • Completing comprehensive counseling and social work assessments, including mental status evaluations and social histories.
  • Coordinating and monitoring community services, including mental health, medical, educational, psychological, vocational, and social support.
  • Facilitating group therapy sessions focused on various topics relevant to patient care.
  • Assisting in the scheduling of group therapies and collaborating with other CSU team members.
  • Assessing client needs to determine the most suitable treatment options and developing tailored treatment plans.
  • Linking clients to case management and additional services.
  • Maintaining accurate and thorough clinical documentation.
  • Collaborating with hospital staff to support the transition of patients from hospital care to CSU.
  • Initiating and developing preventive strategies.
  • Conducting follow-up interventions as necessary for specific issues within designated timeframes.
  • Ensuring timely and complete documentation of services in compliance with CMS standards.
  • Providing brief, solution-focused counseling for specific issues.
  • Collecting and documenting client assessment and demographic information accurately.
  • Documenting service provision and billing information to ensure reimbursement.
  • Providing critical incident intervention when traumatic events occur in the workplace.
  • Maintaining annual certifications in CPR, First Aid, and Crisis Intervention.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Licensure: LSW/LPC; LISW/LPCC
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years in crisis intervention; valid Ohio driver's license required; eligibility to drive company vehicles and meet insurance requirements.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred.
