Key Responsibilities- Direct Patient Care: Provide compassionate and professional care to patients undergoing hemodialysis, including performing basic hemodialysis techniques and procedures.
- Hemodialysis Machine Operation: Safely and competently operate the NxStage Hemodialysis machine, performing routine maintenance and troubleshooting as needed.
- Patient Monitoring: Continuously monitor patients during treatment, responding to any alarms or emergencies as directed by the registered nurse.
- Inventory Management: Manage and maintain inventory of supplies and equipment, ensuring that all necessary materials are available for patient care.
- Documentation: Accurately document all patient care delivered, including treatment outcomes and any notable events or concerns.
- Certification: CMS Dialysis Technician certification within 18 months of hire.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: At least 1-year of experience as a Dialysis Technician.
- CPR Certification: Current CPR certification.
- NxStage Machine Experience: Previous experience with the NxStage Hemodialysis machine is highly preferred.
- Independent Work: Ability to work well independently, with minimal supervision.
The physical demands of this role include frequent lifting, standing, sitting, walking, and traveling. Reasonable accommodations may be available for individuals with disabilities.
