Production Assembler Job Description

South-Tek Systems, LLC is a leading manufacturer of nitrogen generation systems for industrial, lab, and military applications. Our innovative technology helps clients generate nitrogen on-site, reducing costs while ensuring reliability and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build mechanical assemblies to required specifications.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.
  • Assemble parts timely and accurately to meet production requirements.
  • Demonstrate consistency, customer focus, respect for people, accountability, reliability, and solid work ethic.
  • Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
  • Use various tools provided in the work area to perform assembly duties.
  • Test to ensure quality and function of completed material.
  • Ensure subassemblies are available for final assembly.
  • Help identify material problems and maintain stock inventory levels.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment in an orderly condition.
  • Demonstrate the ability to perform independently or in a team setting.
  • Execute general shop maintenance such as cleanup of shop, work area, and equipment.
  • Safely utilize forklifts, power jacks, and other lifting/handling equipment to move warehouse material according to proper safety instructions.
  • Work with Engineers to solve problems, improve quality, and improve performance.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma (or equivalent)
  • Minimum 1 year experience in Manufacturing/Warehouse
  • Mechanical hand tool knowledge and abilities are necessary.
  • Ability to read and build with mechanical drawings.
  • Be able to work unsupervised quickly and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement a plus.
