At SentryWorld, we are seeking a seasoned Banquet Manager to lead our experienced events team at our destination venue in Central Wisconsin. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business growth.

Job Summary

The Banquet Manager will oversee the planning and execution of banquets, weddings, and other events, ensuring seamless delivery of our world-class services. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing front-of-house event operational execution, including establishing and maintaining policies and procedures to ensure customer satisfaction and cost management
  • Developing and executing short-term and long-term business plans for banquets departments, aligning staffing, inventory, and budgets with contracted events
  • Providing clear and timely communication of Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and collaborating with internal partners to ensure all events are executed according to service standards and guest expectations
  • Ensuring the proper execution of all Banquet functions per BEO, meeting client and contractual expectations, overseeing room set-up/breakdown, and ensuring proper staffing for each function
  • Reviewing and approving all event portfolios, ensuring events are properly billed and reconciled on a timely basis

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience
  • Ability to up-sell clients and prospective clients on our facilities and services
  • Ability to obtain and maintain country alcohol sales Operator's License
  • Exceptional communication skills both verbal and written
  • Ability to work both in a team and independently
  • Excellent multi-tasking, organizational, planning, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
