Procurement Specialist

Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented Buyer to source, purchase, and manage inventory of high-quality dietary and herbal supplements. This full-time position requires 40 hours per week on-site in Oxnard. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the supplement market, excellent negotiation skills, and a passion for health and wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourcing and Purchasing: Identify and evaluate suppliers of dietary and herbal supplements, negotiating prices and terms to secure favorable contracts.
• Inventory Management: Monitor stock levels, forecast demand, and coordinate with suppliers to maintain optimal inventory levels while minimizing excess.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure all purchased products meet regulatory requirements and company quality standards. Collaborate with quality control teams to address any issues that arise.
• Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, fostering open communication to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues.
• Cost Analysis: Monitor and analyze purchasing costs and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.

Qualifications:

• Education: AA or BA degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Nutrition, or a related field.
• Experience: 3-5 years of experience in buying or procurement, preferably in dietary supplements or a related industry.
• Skills: Strong negotiation skills and experience in vendor management, knowledge of dietary supplement regulations and compliance standards, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Software: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and purchasing software.
