We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Technician to join our team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Surgical Technician, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our operating rooms and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Participate in the preparation and maintenance of the operating room environment, including the setup and organization of equipment and supplies.
- Assist the surgical team with patient preparation, positioning, and care during surgical procedures.
- Monitor and maintain aseptic technique throughout the surgical process.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure effective communication and coordination during procedures.
- Participate in the cleaning and disinfection of equipment and supplies.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology.
- Basic Life Support certification required at hire.
- Surgical Technologist Certificate required at hire.
- Knowledge of sterile technique, operating room procedures, and equipment.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks.
- Two to five years of scrubbing experience in all surgical procedures in an inpatient or ambulatory O.R. setting.
- Ability to rotate through sterile core area and assist with instrument cleaning and disinfection.
