We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Security Professional to join our team at Sky Lakes Medical Center. As a Security Officer, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe and secure environment for our patients, employees, and visitors.
Key Responsibilities- Perform regular security patrols of the facility to identify and prevent potential security threats.
- Respond to emergency situations and provide assistance as needed.
- Maintain knowledge of hospital policies and procedures, including safety and disaster protocols.
- Operate hospital vehicles safely and enforce parking procedures.
- Participate in investigations and maintain records of security incidents.
- Consult with supervisors to discuss activities, needs, and problems.
- Care for and maintain department supplies and equipment.
- Attend staff meetings and in-services as required.
- Possession of a valid Oregon driver's license.
- Excellent driving record and ability to be insured by the hospital's auto insurance policy.
- Ability to work without supervision and interpret/apply policy and procedures.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills, including sensitivity to multicultural issues.
- Good physical condition.
- One year of continuous recent security/law enforcement experience (civilian/military).
- BLS certification required by end of month from 60 days of hire and maintained.
- Advanced Avade Training (Code Gray) certification required by end of month from 90 days of hire and maintained.
- Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training (DPSST) certification required by end of month from six (6) months of hire and maintained.
