About the Role

Corewell Health is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Stepdown team at Dearborn Hospital. As a Cardiac Stepdown RN, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care to patients recovering from cardiac procedures.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct patient care to patients recovering from cardiac procedures, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing various medical procedures.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' physical and emotional needs, and develop strategies to address any concerns or issues that arise.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care coordination and patient satisfaction.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay up-to-date on the latest cardiac care techniques and technologies.

Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current RN licensure in the state of Michigan.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross (ARC).
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification from the AHA or ARC within six months of hire.
  • Specialty certification in Cardiac Care or Critical Care Nursing highly recommended.
Work Environment

Dearborn Hospital is a Level II trauma center and a major teaching and research hospital, recognized for clinical excellence and innovation in various fields, including orthopedics, neurosciences, women's health, heart & vascular, and cancer care.

The Cardiac Stepdown unit is a 32-bed unit with 28 semi-private rooms and 4 private rooms, equipped with state-of-the-art telemetry monitors and other advanced technologies to support high-quality patient care.
