Job Title: Associate Conductor

VOICES Boston is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Conductor to lead our youngest singing groups in weekly rehearsals and concerts throughout the season.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead rehearsals and concerts for Prep, Melody, and Harmony ensembles
  • Teach by rote and with simplified sheet music, transitioning to primarily sheet music as music literacy increases
  • Emphasize ear training, pitch matching, musical literacy, tone, and healthy vocal production
  • Develop and implement lesson plans tailored to the needs and specifications of each group
Qualifications:
  • Undergraduate degree in Music Education, K-12 certified
  • Kodaly training and vocal ped background
  • Basic piano/moderate piano skills
  • 1-3 years teaching experience
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a diverse population
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
