The Research Medical Center is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Nurse Resident to join our team. As a Nurse Resident, you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing high-quality patient care and developing your clinical skills.
Responsibilities- Assess patient condition during admission and during each shift as scheduled, identifying and reporting any changes in patient status.
- Perform procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s).
- Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
- Perform the administration of prescribed medications.
- Monitor patient for therapeutic response.
- Notify provider and intervene as appropriate in the event of an unintended response to medication.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) obtained within 30 days of employment.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) obtained within 1 year of employment.
- Associate or Bachelors degree in Nursing.
- Registered Nurse License or Graduate Nurse in the State.
Research Medical Center is a 585-bed hospital that offers an array of medical and health clinic services. Our hospital provides women's services, an emergency room, and a trauma center. We also offer a Stroke Center, a walk-in clinic, and orthopedics across three Kansas City locations.
