Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Manufacturing Operations Analyst to join our team at North American Lighting. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and reporting on manufacturing and customer data to support our operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly volume trends, identifying areas for improvement and implementing countermeasures as needed.
- Evaluate weekly manning requirements and participate in weekly manning meetings to ensure optimal staffing levels.
- Audit departmental manning maps to ensure alignment with our approved manning plan.
- Track manufacturing plan versus actual performance, identifying reasons for missed plans and implementing performance improvement countermeasures.
- Audit manpower plan versus actual for each shift, escalating variances and tracking reasons and countermeasures for systemic variances.
- Lead and/or assist with training of department personnel as required.
- Participate in Impact and Kaizen activities to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Education and Experience: Meet one of the following requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline, plus 0-2 years of related experience in manufacturing functions; OR
- Associate degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline, plus 2-4 years of related experience in manufacturing functions, with half of that experience including complex data analysis; OR
- HS Diploma or GED, plus 4-6 years of related experience in manufacturing functions, with half of that experience including complex data analysis.
- Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
- Knowledge and understanding of JIT manufacturing systems
- Knowledge and understanding of NAL manufacturing capabilities
- Organizational, planning, and prioritizing skills
- Data Acquisition, analysis, and reporting skills
- Computer skills - proficient in standard business software with advanced skills in MS Excel (spreadsheets and graphs) and MS Access (tables and queries)
- Written and verbal communications and presentation skills
- Interpersonal skills - to confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority and to maintain composure in stressful and/or sensitive situations
