We are seeking a friendly and efficient Host/Hostess to join our team at Shrimp Basket Holdings. As a Host/Hostess, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, providing a warm and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and seat guests, present menus, and inform them of any specials.
• Treat all guests with a high level of service, ensuring their complete satisfaction and exceeding their expectations.
• Manage the waiting list, quoting wait times to guests when tables are not immediately available.
• Run the floor plan board, observing tables and keeping track of clean, dirty, and occupied tables.
• Clean and wipe down tables, as well as clean, organize, and stock menus at the host area.
• Fulfill various side work projects, including replacing condiments, cleaning windows, and sweeping floors.
• Interact with guests as they arrive and depart, ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Maintain restrooms throughout the shift, refilling paper towels and hand soap.
• Fold t-shirts and organize merchandise.
• Report to work in a neat and clean uniform, with well-groomed hair and personal hygiene.
• Maintain adherence to all Company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as directed by management.

• Reading and Writing: Ability to read, write, and determine wait times based on company procedures.
• Knowledge of Workplace Safety Procedures: Familiarity with safety procedures and protocols.
• Reliability: Report to work on time, with a positive attitude.

Work Environment

This position is based in a restaurant and bar environment, with a drafty work station and loud noise levels. Hazards may include slips, trips, and falls, as well as frequent hand washing.

Physical Demands

• Walking and Standing: Remain on your feet for the duration of the shift.
• Reaching, Bending, Lifting, Carrying, Crouching, Kneeling, Stooping, and Wiping: Perform various physical tasks, including lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds.
• Stationary Positioning: Remain stationary for long periods of time.
• Frequent Hand Washing: Wash hands frequently throughout the shift.
• Lifting and Moving: Lift and move up to 50 pounds, as well as carry 20 pounds of highchair over medium distances.
• Manipulation of Fingers, Hands, and Arms: Cut, carry, and wipe using fingers, hands, and arms.
• Hearing and Talking: Ability to hear and talk clearly.
• Close and Distance Vision: Ability to see clearly at close and distance ranges.

No travel is expected for this position.

Education and Experience

A high school diploma or equivalent is preferred, with a minimum age requirement of 16 years old.
