Responsibilities

The Telemetry Monitoring Specialist is expected to execute responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s mission and policies. This role involves supporting and adhering to the performance improvement plan, as well as complying with JCAHO and other relevant licensing, accrediting, and regulatory bodies. The specialist will provide monitoring services for telemetry units (ICU, CCU, 8th Floor) and will assist visitors and hospital staff with accuracy and courtesy. Additionally, unit clerical services will be part of the duties. Candidates must successfully complete an unlicensed EKG pre-test with a minimum pass rate of 86%. A basic Dysrhythmia course certification and current Basic Cardiac Life Support certification are also required.

Qualifications
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Successful completion of an unlicensed EKG pre-test with an 86% pass rate.
  • Certification in a basic Dysrhythmia course.
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support or Heartsaver.
  • This position is represented by CHEU.
