Job Details

We are seeking a skilled Acute Care Travel Nurse to join our team at Heart of America Medical Center in Minot, North Dakota.

Job Requirements
  • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NIH Stroke Education
  • Experience: IV experience and knowledge of EPIC system preferred
  • Ability to assist in ER as backup if EMS is out on a call
Unit Information
  • Nurse: Patient Ratios: 1:6 or less typically on both days and nights; 1:8 rarely on nights
  • Common diagnoses/Types of patients: Pneumonia, Rehab, UTI, general post op, pain control, general medical, aspiration, fractures, dementia, falls, etc.
  • Nurse aids/patient care techs on this unit: Yes
Schedule Information
  • Shifts & Scheduling: Our staff self-schedule, but contract staff will be given schedules around already made schedules
  • Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend typically for contracted staff
  • Holiday Requirement: Rotation 1⁄2 on 1⁄2 off
Additional Details
  • Unit/Department specific orientation: 1 full 12 hour shift with a preceptor
  • Scrub Color/Dress Code: Any color or pattern, scrubs not provided
