Mining Engineer

Randstad is seeking a highly skilled Mining Engineer to join our team in Hagerstown, MD. As a key member of our quarry operations team, you will be responsible for supporting the technical aspects of mining and geological engineering, including short and medium-term mine planning, sequencing, and optimization.

• Develop and implement efficient and low-cost mining practices and conditions.
• Utilize KPI tracking and database management to improve productivity and reduce costs.
• Design and implement mine design improvements to enhance safety, fleet and manpower efficiency, and costs.
• Coordinate with technical consultants and mine planning and sequencing to ensure safe and efficient operations.
• Operate mining technology, including drones, survey devices, and software, to optimize quarry operations.

• Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in mining or geological engineering.
• Proven experience with mine planning, drilling and blasting, fleet tracking and optimization, rock quality control, and operations.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and objectives, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Computer literacy with various software programs, including Excel, Access, SAP, AutoCAD, and others.
