Role Summary:

The Banquets Food Server PM is tasked with delivering food and beverages during banquet events while ensuring a high level of guest satisfaction throughout the service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Respond promptly and professionally to all guest inquiries and requests, escalating to the Banquet Manager as needed to maintain customer satisfaction.
  2. Communicate guest feedback, including comments and complaints, to the Banquet Manager.
  3. Greet guests warmly upon arrival and express gratitude as they leave.
  4. Provide efficient and courteous service to guests during banquet functions, including serving drinks during reception hours, managing cash bar transactions, and serving food and beverages as required.
  5. Assist with the setup and breakdown of banquet rooms, including table arrangements, decor, and preparation of service items.
  6. Familiarize yourself with the event details and menu prior to service.
  7. Adhere to established procedures for handling cash and credit transactions accurately.
  8. Complete all assigned side duties as directed.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Proficiency in English is essential. A minimum of one year of experience in food service is preferred, with knowledge of banquet operations being advantageous. Familiarity with various service styles, including buffet and gourmet dining, as well as California liquor laws, is necessary. A valid California driver's license and proof of automobile insurance may be required. Previous hotel experience is a plus.
