EquipmentShare is Seeking a Commercial Vehicle Operator for Heavy Machinery


EquipmentShare is actively looking for a Commercial Vehicle Operator specializing in heavy machinery to join our team. This role involves the safe and efficient transportation of equipment, products, and materials to our valued customers.


Compensation:
$30-$36 per hour (based on experience)

Work Schedule:
Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with overtime pay applicable after 40 hours of work. Weekend availability is required only in exceptional circumstances.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate vehicles in compliance with state and federal transportation regulations
  • Ensure safe and timely transport of loads, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
  • Skillfully maneuver trucks and trailers into designated loading and unloading areas, following crew signals
  • Assist in loading and unloading goods and materials, utilizing specialized equipment as necessary
  • Maintain accurate documentation, including signed invoices and shipping bills of lading
  • Conduct routine vehicle maintenance checks and report any issues to the Shipping Supervisor
  • Organize trailers in shipping yards for optimal loading efficiency
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned
Qualifications:

Essential Skills:
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities, with a professional demeanor
  • Capacity to maintain focus in a fast-paced environment

Education and Experience:
  • Possession of a commercial driver's license or chauffeur's license, as required by state regulations
  • Successful completion of background and drug testing as mandated by transportation regulations
  • Passing a DOT physical examination, as the vehicles operated exceed 10,000 lbs

Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to sit for extended periods in a vehicle
  • Capability to lift and move items weighing up to 40 pounds
  • Willingness to travel frequently
  • This position is safety-sensitive, and employment offers are contingent upon passing a 10-panel drug screening
