Job Title: Director of Procurement

Job Summary:

The Director of Procurement will lead the Procurement team in achieving Northwest Harvest's goal of cutting hunger rates in half by 2028. This role requires a forward-thinking systems thinker, a creative and adaptive leader, and a strategic partner to leaders in the Supply Chain department and across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership: Provide strategic vision for the Procurement team, practice adaptive leadership, and lead by example.
  • People Management: Build healthy, dynamic teams that work well together, supervise, support, and professionally develop direct reports.
  • External Relationship Management: Develop and manage a portfolio of external partners, create a robust strategy to increase in-kind donations, and oversee all aspects of procurement.
  • Agricultural Procurement Oversight: Support the cultivation of working relationships with fresh/frozen food processors and cold storage companies.
Requirements:
  • Education: Bachelor of Arts or Sciences degree in business, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of seven years' experience in procurement, sourcing, or food manufacturing, with three years of people management experience.
  • Skills: Strong management and organizational skills, experience in servant leadership, intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, and proficiency with other organizational platforms.
