Compensation:
Hourly rate ranges from $17.51 to $20.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service to pet owners, ensuring a welcoming and supportive environment both in-person and via phone.
- Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and maintain accurate records while ensuring a well-organized front office.
- Handle emotionally charged situations with compassion and understanding.
- Keep the reception area clean, stocked, and orderly for the comfort of clients and their pets.
- Educate clients on available wellness plans, pet insurance options, and products offered in the waiting area.
- Execute opening and closing procedures, including daily reports and financial deposits.
Data Management:
- Accurately maintain records, including client questionnaires and referral information.
- Ensure timely communication of referral letters and lab results to the appropriate veterinary staff.
Patient Admission:
- Facilitate the admission process for patients, ensuring accurate weight measurements and up-to-date information.

Qualifications:
- Preferred experience of at least one year in a veterinary or human medical practice.
- Minimum of two years of customer service experience in fields such as retail or food service.
- Proficient in computer usage, including email and basic software applications, as well as familiarity with front desk equipment.
- Basic math skills necessary for processing payments and managing financial transactions.
- Understanding of veterinary terminology and the ability to communicate effectively with both clients and the veterinary team.
- Capability to triage phone calls and waiting room inquiries to distinguish between emergencies and routine visits.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative team spirit.
- Excellent time management and multitasking abilities.
- Positive attitude and patience, with the ability to work primarily in a seated position.
