Job Summary

WestRock is seeking a skilled Printing Assistant to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for setting up operators with the necessary materials for each product being produced.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review job tickets and schedules to ensure accurate preparation of loads.
  • Operate an aerator effectively to meet production demands.
  • Pull and put away products and supplies as needed to maintain a smooth production process.
  • Communicate effectively with operators to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Follow instructions and work with operators as required to meet production goals.
  • Break down required products and materials for machines to ensure efficient operation.
  • Set up each machine with the necessary materials for each run.
  • Review job bag instructions to verify accuracy.
  • Stock and unstock loads to maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Maintain assigned areas of the department, including sweeping and emptying trash cans as needed.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate intermediate math skills to accurately prepare loads.
  • Possess the following competencies: accuracy, reliability, decision making, time management, and self-motivation.
  • Be able to read and communicate effectively in English.
  • Have the ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedural manuals.
  • Pass a color vision test.
  • Maintain good attendance and be reliable and dependable.
