Job Summary and Qualifications
CT Technologist
Weekend availability is required for consideration.

Full-time schedule:
7 AM - 11 PM on Saturdays and Sundays.

We are currently seeking a Florida-licensed CT Technologist on a full-time basis.

As a CT Technologist on our team, you will be proficient in all of the following:
brain, total spine, facial, sinus, orbits, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, upper/lower extremities, sella, and biopsies. We prioritize patient care; if you are dedicated to caring for others, this could be your next career opportunity.

As a CT Technologist at HCA Florida Largo Hospital, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic x-ray and CT at multiple locations.

Responsibilities include:
Selecting appropriate technical factors for studies and executing diagnostic CT examinations accurately in a caring, compassionate, and respectful manner.
Possessing thorough operational knowledge of the CT scanner, pressure injector, resuscitation equipment, laser filmer, and teleradiology system.
Assisting in the administration of contrast media and related procedures.
Preparing, transferring, and positioning patients as needed while ensuring modesty and safety utilizing auxiliary equipment and/or devices as indicated.
Documenting all pertinent clinical information prior to exams, obtaining informed consent, and completing all required fields within the system accurately and on time.
Obtaining high-quality CT images ensuring only optimal images are submitted for interpretation.
Remaining proficient in executing software protocols and keeping up to date with changes in the field through in-service study, attending courses, or seminars as necessary/recommended.
Maintaining proactive and effective communication with patients and other caregiver colleagues, including the radiologist.
Checking the operation of the equipment, maintaining cleanliness of tables/equipment to prevent cross-contamination of contagious diseases, and keeping rooms stocked with linens and necessary supplies.
Accepting on-call and call-back responsibilities as needed to provide optimum patient care.
Qualifications
Completion of a 24-month program in Radiologic Technology at an accredited, AMA-approved institution.
Current ARRT (CT) certification.
Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT).
Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Ability to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and/or lifting of patients/equipment up to 50 lbs.

Minimum of 1-3 years of current/recent experience in diagnostic radiology, preferably in an acute-care hospital setting.
