The CT Technologist plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services. This position requires a graduate from an accredited AMA institution and registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT).
Key Responsibilities- Diagnostic Services: Provide timely and accurate diagnostic imaging services to both inpatients and outpatients under the supervision of a Radiologist, adhering to departmental protocols.
- Radiographic Procedures: Execute a variety of imaging procedures, including basic radiographic exams, fluoroscopy, portable imaging, C-arm procedures, and operating room imaging services.
- CT Scanning: Demonstrate expertise in routine diagnostic CT scanning procedures, including but not limited to CT imaging of the head, neck, thorax, spine, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities, as well as biopsy and drainage procedures.
- Technical Knowledge: Possess a thorough understanding of CT system processing, surgical and sterile procedures, and cross-sectional anatomy, with or without the use of contrast media.
- Preferred experience of at least 2 years in a similar role.
- ARRT (R) Radiography Certification is mandatory, ensuring the ability to independently perform X-Ray exams alongside CT exams.
- The position entails working 3x12 hour shifts, with a mix of day and night shifts throughout the week.
- Shifts may include evenings and weekends, with on-call duties rotating every third weekend.
The role will involve the use of advanced imaging systems, including Carestream PACS, Medhost, EXA, Siemens Definition AS, Siemens Force for Coronary CTA & Calcium Score exams, GE Precision 180, Philips Bucky Diagnost, GE Optima portable DR XR, and Carestream retrofit portable DR XR.
