Job Summary

The Anesthesia Technician plays a vital role in the healthcare team, working under the supervision of an Anesthesiologist, CRNA, or Registered Nurse to ensure the safe and effective delivery of anesthesia care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provides safe and effective cleaning of all equipment in compliance with safety and infection control standards.
  • Orders and prepares supplies and equipment as needed by the Anesthesiologist for surgical procedures.
  • Observes Universal Precautions and is responsible for meeting the Standards of Care.
  • Assists in the preparation and maintenance of anesthesia equipment and supplies.
  • Collaborates with the healthcare team to ensure seamless patient care.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Certification as Anesthesia Technician by the American Society of Anesthesia Technicians and Technologists.
  • BLS required.
  • Ability to operate or learn to operate equipment used in performing job responsibilities.
