Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Preconstruction Intern to join our team at Facilitates. As a Preconstruction Intern, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the construction industry and develop valuable skills in project management, estimation, and coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of project estimates and bids, including reviewing and analyzing historical data and completing material and quantity takeoffs.
  • Conduct plan and specification reviews for assigned projects, identifying risk areas and communicating them to senior estimators.
  • Support the development of project schedules and cost controls, ensuring timely and within-budget project delivery.
  • Perform other duties as necessary or required to support the preconstruction team.
Qualifications
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
  • Industry experience with a general contractor or in the construction field, with a strong understanding of project owner specifications, engineering drawings, project scheduling, and cost controls.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, as well as Adobe and Bluebeam.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to recognize discrepancies.
  • Dependable, results-focused, and ethical, with a commitment to safety and compliance.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges.
Employment Requirements
  • Successful completion of a post-offer background check and drug screens.

Salary Range: $22.00/hour
