Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated School Nurse to join our team at EDU PRIME LLC. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing quality healthcare services to students, staff, and families in our schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide direct nursing services to students with chronic and episodic conditions, including administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Conduct health screenings and referrals, manage acute illnesses and injuries at school, and develop and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs) for students with specific health needs.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers, families, and school staff to ensure continuity of care and facilitate communication and coordination between school and community health resources.
  • Develop and implement emergency plans for the school, respond to medical emergencies, and provide first aid.
  • Maintain accurate student health records, manage school health supplies and equipment, and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Requirements
  • Hold a bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) from a regionally accredited college or university.
  • Must have a current Registered Nurse license, recognized by the Delaware Board of Nursing, and valid and current certification in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automatic external defibrillator (AED).
  • Within two years of employment, complete the School Nurse Certification Program (90 clock hours) and pass the Delaware-approved general knowledge exam (Praxis or approved Exemption Test).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a school setting or with children.
  • Knowledge of Delaware state and federal regulations related to school health.
