Job Title: MIG Welder

Magnum Systems, Inc. is seeking an experienced MIG welder to join our team at our Parsons, KS facility.

Job Summary

The MIG Welder is responsible for performing high-quality welding tasks using MIG welding techniques on various metal components and structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Set up and operate MIG welding machines and equipment.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications to determine welding requirements.
  • Prepare metal surfaces for welding by cleaning, grinding, or cutting as needed.
  • Monitor and adjust welding parameters, such as voltage, wire speed, and gas flow, to ensure optimal weld quality.
  • Perform welding on various metals (steel, aluminum, stainless steel) in different positions (flat, vertical, overhead).
  • Inspect completed welds for defects and ensure they meet quality standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with welding equipment and work processes.
  • Document work performed, including materials used and any discrepancies in welding outputs.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 5 years' experience as a MIG welder or in a similar welding position.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Vocational training in welding.
  • Certification in MIG welding (e.g., AWS certified) is a plus.
Work Environment

This position operates in a manufacturing environment, which may involve exposure to noise, fumes, and extreme temperatures. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.
