Job Overview

Xpedient Logistics is a leading provider of warehouse services and logistics solutions. We are seeking a highly skilled Tire Technician to join our team in ensuring the efficient operation of our tire warehouse.

Key Responsibilities
  • Tire Mounting and Balancing: Properly mount tires onto rims using specialized equipment, ensuring correct alignment and secure fitting.
  • Balancing Tires: Use balancing machines to ensure tires are balanced properly, making adjustments as needed.
  • Slicing Rubber: Accurately slice rubber to specified dimensions and shapes, prioritizing safety and efficiency.
  • Inspection and Quality Control: Inspect tires for defects or damage before and after mounting, performing quality control checks to meet company standards.
  • Inventory Management: Assist with inventory management, tracking stock levels and ordering supplies as needed, maintaining accurate records of all tire-related transactions.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance on tire mounting and balancing equipment, reporting any malfunctions or safety hazards to the supervisor.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines, using personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
  • Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally, assisting customers with tire selection and recommendations.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Experience: Proven experience in mounting and balancing tires, with preference for experience in slicing rubber.
  • Skillset: Strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, ability to lift heavy objects, and good communication skills.
  • Technical Skills: Basic computer skills for inventory management and record-keeping.
Working Conditions
  • Warehouse Environment: Exposure to varying temperatures, use of machinery and tools requiring adherence to safety protocols.
  • Physical Labor: Lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.

The estimated salary for this position is $21 per hour, reflecting the competitive wages offered by Xpedient Logistics.
