Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Nocturnist Physician to join our team at Brattleboro Memorial Hospital. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care during overnight shifts, overseeing an open intermediate care/step down unit, and managing temporary ventilator patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide exceptional patient care during overnight shifts, including admissions, discharges, and transfers
- Oversee the intermediate care/step down unit, ensuring seamless patient flow and efficient care delivery
- Manage temporary ventilator patients, working closely with respiratory therapists and other specialists as needed
- Collaborate with surgeons, emergency medicine physicians, and CRNAs to provide comprehensive care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a culture of excellence
Requirements
- Board certification or eligibility in internal medicine or a related specialty
- 2-3 years of experience as a Hospitalist or Nocturnist
- Experience in rural health care preferred, but not required
- Strong ventilator management skills and experience running codes
- Vermont license preferred, but will wait for license
- Vermont DEA and BLS, ACLS certifications
