Regulatory Affairs Specialist

San Jose Water Company is seeking a highly skilled Regulatory Affairs Analyst to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our regulatory affairs team, you will play a critical role in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and advancing the company's goals.
Key Responsibilities:- Analyze financial operations and expenditures to assist in the preparation of the budget and long-range financial forecasts.
- Develop forecasts of rates, revenues, and debt to predict ongoing operations, major improvements, and levels of financing and revenue required to support planned activities.
- Assist with general rate case proceedings and represent the company in interactions with the Public Utilities Commission (PUC) staff.
- Testify as needed before the PUC and administer tariff rules and schedules.
- Maintain records and prepare written reports, budgets, and analyses as required.
- Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, accounting, engineering, or a closely related field.
- Master's degree or CPA certification preferred.
- Experience in rate analysis, financial and economic analyses, long-range financial forecasting, and budget development.
- Experience in regulated utility environments or similar fields is desirable.
