Container Fabricator

Job Summary

The Container Fabricator/Welder is responsible for repairing, painting, and performing maintenance on containers and roll-off boxes. This role requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Repair and maintain front, rear, and roll-off containers
  • Weld steel and aluminum components using MIG and ARC welding equipment
  • Fabricate steel components using a brake and shear
  • Cut steel using a plasma cutter or torch
  • Fabricate steel components for hoppers, containers, and compactors
  • Install lids and wheels on containers
  • Paint repaired containers
  • Follow all safety policies and procedures
  • Complete required paperwork
  • Install company and safety decals in accordance with company standards
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.
  • Certified welder
  • Advanced knowledge of MIG and stick welders, plasma cutters, and airless paint sprayers
  • Familiarity with basic hand tools
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to follow directions with minimal supervisory involvement
Preferred Qualifications
  • Minimum of 1 year welding experience or completion of a welding program
