Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Suncoast Center, Inc. This is a full-time position that requires a strong background in electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, as well as basic automobile maintenance knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our clients and staff.
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs as needed, including inspections of fire extinguishers, first aid kits, smoke alarms, and A/C filters.
  • Assist with the maintenance of fleet vehicles and perform other duties as required.
  • Take the lead on projects and coordinate with the Manager to ensure timely completion.
Requirements
  • High School Grad or GED
  • Two years minimum experience with maintenance work that includes electrical, plumbing, and carpentry
  • General contracting/construction experience preferred
  • Computer Literate
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Negative Drug Screening prior to hire and throughout employment
  • Clear Criminal Background Check throughout employment with Suncoast Center and local checks prior to hire and annually
  • Valid Florida Driver's License and Motor Vehicle checks prior to hire and annually with acceptable driving record
Working Conditions

This position requires the ability to work indoors and outdoors, drive a company vehicle, and meet established insurance requirements. Travel is required between agency locations and surrounding communities, and some clean up and handling of hazardous materials may be required.
