Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Dietary Aide to join our team at Cardinal Senior Management. As a Dietary Aide, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and service to our residents. Your primary responsibilities will include assisting with food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining a clean and safe dining environment.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with food preparation and presentation in accordance with dietary requirements and standards.
• Serve food and drinks to residents in a timely and courteous manner.
• Assist residents with food consumption as needed, including cutting food, buttering bread, and pouring beverages.
• Remove dirty dishes from the dining room and clean tables/areas, including scraping dishes, loading and operating the dishwasher, and washing/scrubbing pots and pans as needed.
• Perform cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, cleaning surfaces, and vacuuming to maintain a safe and sanitary work area.
• Restock prep and service areas as needed to maintain an organized work area.

Requirements:

• Ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
• Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
• Ability to stand for extended periods of time and bend, stoop, and reach frequently.
• Knowledge of kitchen safety practices and accident prevention.
• Knowledge of basic sanitation, food preparation, and the maintenance of kitchen and food service areas.
• Minimum of sixteen (16) years of age (must provide appropriate work documentation).

Preferred Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Experience working in a healthcare setting is preferred.
