ROLE PURPOSE

CDL Drivers are vital members of our team, requiring a valid CDL driver license. They work closely with crew members, operate machinery, and perform various labor tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Uphold Sunland's Core Values in all duties and responsibilities.
  • Efficiently operate diverse heavy machinery in compliance with job specifications.
  • Ensure adherence to DOT, state, and local regulations concerning equipment and transportation.
  • Maintain vehicle readiness, conduct inspections, and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Actively participate in safety meetings, training sessions, and job-site communications.
  • Engage in effective communication with team members and assist in the transportation and maintenance of equipment.
  • Contribute to maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
  • Represent the company professionally in all interactions.
  • Perform general labor tasks as needed to support operations.
  • Responsible for the setup and teardown of equipment as required.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and Sunland's Core Values consistently.
  • And additional duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • This position involves working at construction sites, necessitating effective communication, physical endurance, and adherence to safety standards in varying weather conditions.
  • Operate vehicles and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
  • Engage in professional outdoor fieldwork, with exposure to various elements and potential hazards.
  • Strict adherence to safety measures is essential during all work activities.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS

  • This is a full-time role with occasional evening and weekend requirements.
  • Willingness to travel to various job sites is crucial.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and relevant work experience.
  • Proficiency in English, encompassing speaking, reading, and writing skills.
  • Required licenses include a current Class A CDL, with additional endorsements and a clean driving record.
  • Successful completion of drug tests, background checks, and DOT physicals is mandatory.
