Hy-Vee Cook

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Hy-Vee Cook to join our team. As a Hy-Vee Cook, you will be responsible for preparing various foods for the Hy-Chi department, including soups, meats, and vegetables. You will also be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of foods, including soups, meats, and vegetables.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including the hot and cold cases.
• Prepare the woks and cook soups and meats according to recipe specifications.
• Combine ingredients with meat and place food in hot cases, monitoring amounts and refilling as necessary.
• Work effectively in a fast-paced kitchen environment and maintain a high level of productivity.

Requirements:

• Previous cooking experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high level of quality in food preparation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
