Responsibilities:


Under the guidance of experienced professionals, you will perform radiographic procedures at a technical level that allows for independent operation while adhering to established training protocols. Your role will involve operating radiology equipment to produce clinical diagnostic imaging as directed by healthcare providers, as well as conducting routine diagnostic assessments.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Scheduling outpatient tests and procedures through effective communication.
  • Positioning patients and adjusting equipment to capture diagnostic images according to established protocols.
  • Adhering to safety guidelines, radiation protection standards, and ensuring patient comfort.
  • Maintaining accurate logs and documentation of exams, including patient details and reasons for retakes.
  • Recording test outcomes and monitoring patient data diligently.
  • Ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations through meticulous record-keeping.
  • Managing the filing and maintenance of shipping and receiving logs for radiographs and other diagnostic tests.
  • Keeping current Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS) for the radiology department.
  • Conducting x-ray examinations of various body parts to assist in diagnosing medical conditions.
  • Calibrating and maintaining x-ray equipment to ensure optimal functionality.
  • Upholding a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.
  • Reporting any issues or potential concerns to the Radiology Supervisor.
  • Carrying out additional duties as assigned by healthcare professionals or the Radiology Supervisor.

Qualifications:
Required Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is mandatory.
  • Completion of an accredited Limited Radiology Technology training program is essential.
  • Possession of a Non-Certified Radiologic Technician (NCT) license from a state agency or successful completion of the Limited Scope of Practice in Radiography exam from ARRT in one of the following modalities: Head, Chest, Core, Spine, or Extremities.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required, with Advanced Care Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Preferred Experience:
  • 0 – 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Training:
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with standard X-ray concepts, practices, and procedures in the field of radiological technology.
  • A robust work ethic and a high level of professionalism.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding patient information.
  • Demonstrated skills and competencies pertinent to this position.
  • Understanding of compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Ability to follow orders and effectively communicate results as directed by physicians.
