Location: Hiram Davis Medical Center
Key ResponsibilitiesThe Hiram W. Davis Medical Center is a 94-bed facility dedicated to providing comprehensive medical care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. As a Radiologic Imaging Specialist, your primary duties will include:
- Conducting and processing X-ray examinations using advanced radiography equipment.
- Transmitting images to Radiologists for professional interpretation.
- Utilizing portable X-ray equipment to perform examinations as directed by physicians.
- Ensuring the acquisition of high-quality, clinically diagnostic images.
- Performing EKGs when necessary and relaying results to Cardiologists.
- Maintaining accurate records and scanning relevant documentation daily.
- Communicating effectively with dispatch and management, as well as interacting professionally with colleagues and clients.
- Ensuring the upkeep of vehicles and radiographic equipment.
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:
- Certification by the ARRT or eligibility for certification.
- Proficiency in using Electronic Health Records (EHR/Cerner).
- Familiarity with Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS).
- Experience with GE X-ray equipment.
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association.
- Prior experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or mental health settings.
- Dual Certification as an Ultrasound Technologist.
