Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse 12 Month

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at the University at Albany. As a Licensed Practical Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the overall well-being of our students.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for providing nursing care to students, faculty, and staff, as well as participating in health education and promotion activities. This is a 12-month position, and the successful candidate will be expected to work a variety of shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide nursing care to students, faculty, and staff, including administering medications, performing vital signs, and providing wound care.
  • Participate in health education and promotion activities, including developing and implementing health programs and providing health education to students.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care and to promote a culture of safety and quality.
  • Document patient care and health education activities in a timely and accurate manner.
Requirements:
  • A license and current registration to practice as a practical nurse in New York State.
  • Ability to develop inclusive and equitable relationships within our diverse campus community.
  • Ability to support diversity, equity, access, inclusion, and belonging relative to their role.
