About the Role

As a First Assistant Surgical Tech at AdventHealth Shawnee Mission, you will play a vital role in the surgical team, working closely with surgeons to ensure the smooth execution of procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will be essential in maintaining a safe and efficient operating environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the surgeon in preparing and positioning the patient for surgery
  • Monitor sterile integrity of the surgical field and ensure all surgical counts are correct
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure appropriate patient care is delivered

Requirements:

  • First Assistant Certification or Certified Surgical Assistant Certification
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • BCLS obtained through the American Heart Association
