We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Pelican Staffing. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their maximum potential and independence.

Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist will work under the supervision of the Occupational Therapy Supervisor and Director of Rehabilitation Services to provide occupational therapy interventions to patients. This includes assessment, care planning, educating patients and families, and issuing adaptive equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients and develop care plans compatible with physician, patient, and family goals.
  • Provide high-quality and safe patient care, including fine motor skills, self-help skills, and durable medical equipment.
  • Complete necessary documentation and maintain a cost-effective treatment plan.
  • Assist in the orientation of new employees and volunteers.
  • Instruct and evaluate therapy students and therapy assistant students during clinical affiliations.
  • Regularly assume duties of Charge Therapist.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to all employees, patients, and associates.
  • Adhere to established hospital safety standards.
  • Ensure department objectives are met.
Requirements
  • California Occupational Therapy License
  • Current BLS-AHA certification
  • 3 years of experience in the profession
