Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Vascular Ultrasound Technologist to join our team at Lancaster General Health. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing and communicating results of diagnostic examinations, maintaining a high standard of medical ethics, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform all diagnostic Vascular Ultrasound procedures through proper technique selection according to department policy and procedure.
  • Provide Ultrasound services on weekends, holidays, and call as scheduled.
  • Greets patients and actively identifies patient to ensure correct patient and procedure.
  • Explains procedure to patient and family.
  • Completes required documentation of patient history.
  • Documents technical observations for each procedure and obtains assistance as needed.
  • Evaluates, synthesizes, and communicates diagnostic information to the attending physician.
Requirements
  • High School diploma/GED.
  • Graduation from an accredited program for Vascular Sonography.
  • Certified by the ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) in in Physics (SPI), or Vascular Technology (RVT) within twelve (12) months of placement in position.
  • In compliance with ARDMS and/or ARRT continuing education requirements.
  • CPR certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Abdomen registry.
  • 2 years of experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
  • Bilingual in Spanish.
