About the Role

RCL Mechanical is seeking a highly skilled HVAC Refrigeration Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, cooling, and refrigeration units for commercial customers.

You will diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems, as well as travel to job sites in our service area and work with our dispatcher to ensure schedule maintenance and timely communication with customers.

To succeed in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of HVAC systems and be able to troubleshoot complex problems. You will also need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and be able to lift heavy equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, cooling, and refrigeration units
  • Diagnose and repair electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems
  • Travel to job sites in our service area and work with our dispatcher to ensure schedule maintenance and timely communication with customers
  • Maintain good working order of company vehicle, equipment, and electronics
  • Document details of services and parts provided to customers electronically through iPad applications
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited HVAC program or relevant certifications
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience as an HVAC Service Technician
  • Proficient in diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems, including air conditioners, furnaces, heat pumps, and refrigeration units
  • Familiarity with HVAC control systems and their components
  • Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and blueprints
  • Possess relevant HVAC certifications, such as EPA 608 Universal Certification
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify issues and develop effective solutions
  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and work in various weather conditions
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces and at heights
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively communicate with customers and team members
  • Ability to manage time efficiently to complete tasks within deadlines
  • Possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Salary and Benefits

Our estimated salary for this role is $50,000 - $70,000 per year, based on industry standards and location. We offer a competitive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401(k) matching and tuition reimbursement.
