Job Summary

The Sample Preparation Specialist will be responsible for performing sample splitting on soil and water samples by following a program in LIMS (Lab Information Management System) that will display the types of splits and checks that need to be performed.

This role involves performing soil splitting, which includes performing a moisture check on samples as required. The Specialist will also be responsible for weighing out the sample mass using a balance and recording the information in LIMS. Additionally, the Specialist will perform water sample splitting, which requires measuring water samples out in milliliters.

The Sample Preparation Specialist will also be responsible for performing sample discard on various bottle types by following a program in LIMS that indicates when a sample is ready for disposal. Furthermore, the Specialist will assist in moving empty coolers, which may require forklift operation, and will be trained and certified as needed.

This role is 1st shift, Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. Training will be provided during the same hours.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have a High School Diploma or equivalent and authorization to work in the United States without restriction or sponsorship. Preferred qualifications include attention to detail, basic computer skills, and the ability to use a balance and measure using milliliters. Prior forklift experience and prior experience working with samples, specifically environmental samples, are also preferred.

Additional Information

Professional working proficiency in English is required, including the ability to read, write, and speak in English. The pay rate for this position is $17.20 per hour. Please note that Eurofins Environment Testing (USA) provides a compensation range for informational purposes, and the actual base salary may vary based on relevant experience and skill set, base salary of internal peers, business sector, and geographic location.
