Join Our Team as a Critical Care Veterinary Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Critical Care Veterinary Technician to join our team at Ethos Veterinary Health in San Francisco. As a critical care veterinary technician, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support to our team of experienced veterinarians and veterinary technicians.

About the Role
  • Provide critical care to patients in our intensive care unit, including monitoring vital signs, administering medications, and performing laboratory tests.
  • Collaborate with our veterinary team to develop and implement treatment plans for critically ill patients.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on their pet's condition and treatment plan.
  • Participate in rounds and contribute to the development of patient care plans.
  • Perform in-house laboratory testing and prepare samples for outside laboratory testing.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years of clinical experience as a Registered Veterinary Technician or 3 years of experience as a Senior Veterinary Assistant.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to effectively interface with staff and clients.
  • Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices, and estimates.
  • Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP).
