Waterloo, Iowa, United States MRG Exams Full time
Disability Assessment Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Practitioner to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.

In this role, you will review medical records electronically through a web portal and conduct in-person physical exams on each Veteran. You will then document the exam findings required by the VA through the web portal.

Please note that as a Nurse Practitioner in this position, you will not make disability determinations. The United States Veterans Administration is responsible for making all disability determinations.

This role involves performing Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day, on average. The schedule for this position is part-time, with approximately 2 days per week (8am-4pm) worked during normal business hours.

You will be working in a clinical setting, and all work will be performed in person. This is an excellent opportunity to serve the Veteran community while enjoying a set schedule with no call requirements.

To succeed in this role, you should be interested in performing independent medical assessments and able to analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions.

The ideal candidate will also possess strong time management skills, be proficient in using a computer, and have a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as training and continued support provided by MRG Exams. Health insurance options are available, and a computer will be supplied.

Key Benefits:

  • Training and continued support provided
  • Health Insurance options available
  • Computer supplied

If you would find it rewarding to serve the Veteran community and enjoy working a set schedule without being on call, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
