Trillium Staffing is currently seeking an ADAS Calibration and Integration Engineer. In this pivotal role, you will contribute significantly to establishing the company’s inaugural in-house calibration team for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS). Your expertise will be essential in addressing integration challenges and calibrating Level 3 ADAS functionalities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with internal software teams to gain a comprehensive understanding of algorithms and software associated with various ADAS features.
- Create detailed calibration manuals for each feature and its sub-components.
- Lead the initial assessment of system integration challenges, identifying and resolving software bugs, specification discrepancies, and conflicts.
- Work closely with Vehicle Function (VF) documentation writers to enhance and refine VF documents.
- Partner with vehicle assembly teams to troubleshoot inter-module communication issues across different vehicle platforms.
- Engage with build and systems teams to address architectural challenges in development vehicles.
- Establish feature-level Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and translate these into specific calibration objectives.
- Design standardized testing protocols to objectively evaluate feature calibrations.
- As the functionality evolves, you will be responsible for calibrating various ADAS features directly in vehicles, adjusting calibration values as necessary, and leading testing efforts to optimize these values.
- Expect to spend considerable time working within vehicles.
- Interact with global team members across various departments.
- Travel may be required to various locations.
- As a foundational member of the Autodrive Calibration team, you may undertake additional temporary assignments as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
- Experience in calibration for ADAS, powertrain, or similar fields.
- Strong technical problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication abilities, particularly in interfacing with HiL testing and vehicle integration teams.
- Familiarity with vehicle diagnostics, CANalyzer, CANape, and networking protocols.
- Solid understanding of vehicle dynamics.
- Ability to effectively collaborate with Tier I and Tier II automotive suppliers.
- Clean driving record is essential.
- Willingness to travel domestically.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree from an ABET-accredited institution.
- Experience in software development for embedded systems, control systems, or algorithm development in languages such as C++, C, or Python.
- Proven track record of releasing calibration sets into production.
- Basic understanding of Functional Safety and automotive diagnostics.
- Experience in developing motion control systems for Automated Driving.
- Familiarity with the Robot Operating System (ROS).
- Experience in Agile/Scrum software development methodologies.
- Background in Driver Assistance or Automated Driving systems, particularly Level 2 and above.
