About the Role

Zurich North America is seeking a highly skilled Senior Developer or Lead Developer to join our Schaumburg, IL HQ in a hybrid schedule.

This role will be filled at either the Sr Developer or Lead Developer level, based on the selected applicant's experience and skill set relative to the qualifications listed for this position.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and deliver high-quality.NET applications using software best practices.
  • Utilize.NET framework and C# for building scalable applications.
  • Develop cross-platform mobile applications using frameworks such as Flutter.
  • Contribute to a continuous improvement environment, reviewing code, mentoring junior developers, and assisting in adherence to development standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
  • Analyze customer needs and design, document, test, and develop software to satisfy functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Provide technical expertise on IT infrastructure, software applications, architecture, and hardware to internal customers.
  • Manage production support issues and work with customers as required.
Technical Requirements
  • Strong knowledge of C# and.NET Platform.
  • Experience with Flutter,.NET WebAPI Framework, Azure App Services, and Azure Service Bus.
  • DevOps activities, including build, deploy, and release management with VSTS.
  • Relational databases, LINQ, and ORM Tools (Entity Framework).
  • Enterprise application fundamentals, including data structures and object-oriented design.
  • SOA (Service Oriented Architecture) and RESTful API Design Applications.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
  • Proven working experience in software and mobile development (more than 4 years).
  • Strong mobile app development experience primarily with Flutter.
