Application Process

Position Overview:

The Department of Bioengineering and Therapeutic Sciences at the University of California, San Francisco is seeking applications for a faculty role at the Assistant Professor level. We invite innovative scientists who are engaged in fundamental research and the development of groundbreaking technologies to become part of our interdisciplinary team.

Research Focus:

We are particularly interested in candidates whose work bridges various scientific disciplines represented in our department, including but not limited to computational biology, molecular engineering, therapeutic bioengineering, systems pharmacology, drug development sciences, and pharmacogenomics. We encourage applications from individuals who are pioneering the integration of artificial intelligence and machine learning within biological research. Both experimental and computational methodologies are welcome.

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a doctoral degree (Ph.D., Pharm.D./Ph.D., or M.D./Ph.D.) and have completed postdoctoral training in a relevant area. The ideal applicant will have a proven track record of significant research achievements and a well-defined original research agenda that promises to advance discovery science with long-term implications for human health.
